MLW & ROH Declare They Won’t Run Shows In Florida Despite Government Clearance
MLW has zero plans to run shows down in Florida during the COVID-19 concern while ROH plans to stay the course. With the news breaking that there will be additional accommodations that consider entertainment a form of “essential business,” John Pollock of POST Wrestling reached out to MLW CEO Court Bauer and ROH President Joe Koff to see if their promotions have any interest in running shows with such allowances.
“No, I will not put my athletes, crew and staff along with their families at risk of contracting the virus,” Court Bauer simply stated. Koff stated he appreciates how WWE decided to go about operations but ROH do not plan to shake their plans up.
“I think it’s great for WWE that they are able to operate how they see fit, or how they may even need to for their business. It doesn’t necessarily change our approach to the pandemic though. The safety of all our performers, staff, vendors, and fans are the most important thing to us right now and we are continuing to improve our infrastructure and find ways to connect with them during this time.. Are we eager to get back? Absolutely. For now, we will be monitoring day by day.”
