From Jon Moxley to the late Brodie Lee there has been a great deal of frustration expressed over how WWE has creatively stifled its stars and Mickie James made sure to make her voice heard after news broke of Bray Wyatt’s release.
It was revealed on July 31 that Wyatt was let go by WWE and after Bray received the canned “wish him best in all his future endeavors,” and James took a moment to express how WWE missed the boat with Bray Wyatt and all the innovative flair he presented in persona.
“I think what you meant to say was: ‘Thank you so much for coming up with such an incredible gimmick(time & time again)one so cool & over, we really didn’t know how to book it right. So we just gave it to someone else so we can still make ALL the money off of it & let you go,'” Mickie Tweeted out before making clear that this wasn’t a shot at Alexa Bliss, but just a fact stated as to what WWE has done. “This isn’t against Alexa,” Mickie wrote, “I love her. She’s an incredible performer who is killing it in a role she was given. She always does. We as artists take every role we’re given & turn it into gold. He, she, they both did that. Like it/not. Facts are facts. So sorry if that offends you.”

James was released by WWE earlier this year and how WWE handled her release caught some well-deserved fire from talent and fans alike after then Senior Director of Talent Relations Mark Carrano sent her remaining items in a trash bag. It was not long after this was made public, Carrano was terminated.
