As seen on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Tama Tonga made his WWE debut by joining The Bloodline.

On this week’s show, Tonga aligned with Solo Sikoa to take out Jimmy Uso.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE has been interested in Tonga for a long time now. This dates all the way back to 2016 when they first signed AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and Shinsuke Nakamura. While WWE was interested, Tonga chose to stay in NJPW at the time in order to work with his brothers, Hikuleo and Tonga Loa.

WWE had interest in Hikuleo and Tama last year as well, but a hiring freeze occurred when Vince McMahon worked his way back into the company and prevented any new signings from taking place. As of this writing, there isn’t any word on whether Tonga had any talks with AEW. Additionally, it was added that it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that he was WWE-bound due to the positive relationship the two sides have.

It remains to be seen whether WWE is still interested in bringing in Hikuleo or Tonga Loa. Jacob Fatu has signed with WWE and was backstage at WrestleMania 40, so he’ll likely be added to the mix in the near future. One idea was discussed regarding Fatu and Tonga teaming up much like their fathers Tonga Kid and Haku did, but there’s no word on if that’s still the working plan.

Tama Tonga Makes WWE Debut, Joins The Bloodline

In a surprising turn of events, Tama Tonga made his long-awaited WWE debut on this week’s episode of SmackDown. The talented wrestler joined forces with Solo Sikoa to take down Jimmy Uso, solidifying his place in The Bloodline faction.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE has been interested in signing Tama Tonga for quite some time now. The interest dates back to 2016 when the company signed several other notable talents from New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), including AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Shinsuke Nakamura. However, at that time, Tonga decided to stay in NJPW to work alongside his brothers, Hikuleo and Tonga Loa.

Last year, WWE also expressed interest in signing Hikuleo and Tama Tonga. Unfortunately, a hiring freeze occurred when Vince McMahon regained control of the company, preventing any new signings from taking place. While there is no information on whether Tonga had any talks with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), it was widely believed that he would eventually join WWE due to the positive relationship between the two sides.

It remains to be seen if WWE still has plans to bring in Hikuleo or Tonga Loa. Jacob Fatu, another talented wrestler from the famous Anoa’i family, has already signed with WWE and was even present backstage at WrestleMania 40. It is likely that Fatu will be added to the mix in the near future. There were discussions about Fatu and Tonga teaming up, similar to their fathers Tonga Kid and Haku did in the past, but it is unclear if that plan is still in motion.

Tama Tonga’s arrival in WWE has generated excitement among wrestling fans worldwide. Known for his impressive in-ring skills and charismatic personality, Tonga is expected to make a significant impact in the company. Joining The Bloodline, which already consists of Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso, further adds to the intrigue surrounding his debut.

As WWE continues to expand its roster and bring in top talents from around the world, the addition of Tama Tonga showcases the company’s commitment to providing fresh and exciting content for its fans. With Tonga’s arrival, the landscape of WWE’s tag team division and storylines within The Bloodline faction are sure to experience a thrilling shake-up.

Fans eagerly await Tama Tonga’s future matches and storylines in WWE, as he embarks on this new chapter of his wrestling career. Whether he will continue to align with The Bloodline or forge his own path remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – Tama Tonga’s presence in WWE is bound to make waves in the industry.
