Kurt Angle Praises UFC Double Champ Henry Cejudo, Says He Can Steal His Gimmick
During the WWE Friday Night SmackDown red carpet event last week, WWE legend Kurt Angle was on hand to help ring in the brand new broadcast. Talking with the media, Angle was asked about how he feels regarding UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo, who has been touting himself as an Olympic gold medalist.
Angle laughed regarding the comment, and then said that he loves Cejudo as an athlete, and doesn’t mind that Cejudo is “stealing” his gimmick. “I love Henry, he’s a great athlete, incredible athlete, one of the best wrestlers period, he’s one of the best fighters too. And I have a lot of respect for him, he can steal my gimmick if he wants to.”
Angle was also briefly asked about Colby Covington, who has been using Angles theme music as well. According to the WWE legend, that also gets his nod of approval. “Colby got my intro music, he asked me though, and I said okay. It’s good to see that happen.”
