On trying to get better at her promos: “I still feel very awkward on the microphone and speaking all the time. I just force myself to do it a lot more often so I have to get better at it. I know I’m not the best at it and I know I’m not any special talker and I don’t have the best vernacular, and my tone isn’t always great and I come off very awkward. I’m aware of all that, but I know the more that I do it, the better I’ll be at it.”

On how she is socially awkward: “You’d be surprised how socially awkward I can be. I know a lot of wrestlers and people in wrestling, and I’m more comfortable around them. It is what it is at this point. I just don’t care. I know I’m awkward, I acknowledge it, I own up to it, and it’s something I can’t control. One of the things with wrestling promos is you have to be yelling and passionate. I’m passionate, I just don’t feel like yelling right now.”

Statlander will defend the TBS Title against the undefeated Julia Hart this Sunday at AEW WrestleDream 2023.
