Kenny Omega posted the following on Twitter, claiming that the rumors and reports you heard about his year are actually worse than what’s out there.
One day I’m gonna have a lot of wild stories to tell about my 2019 that a lot of people won’t want to believe. But the truth is actually way worse than what’s been rumored and/or reported. Until then, one day until #AEWFullGear
Omega didn’t specify which stories he’s talking about, but the timing is interesting since this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Omega ran into problems trying to get into Japan for a DDT event show he was scheduled to be a part of on November 3.
It was noted that Omega was stopped from getting into the country and it was the third time this has happened since leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling. It was said that Omega did get in like he did in previous times, but was frustrated by the situation. The latest travel issue apparently stemmed from something happening in which there was a reported attempt to get Omega banned from Japan for ten years.
It’s unknown what exactly transpired, but Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks has mentioned in recent Tweets that an AEW relationship with New Japan is not on the table. Chris Jericho is scheduled to appear for Wrestle Kingdom 14 as he’s under his own contract and a WK appearance still remains to be seen with Jon Moxley, but with two months out there’s time for something to develop.
Kenny Omega is set to face off with Jon Moxley at tonight’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view in Baltimore.
