Jon Moxley, who Wrestlezone recently interviewed, had a memorable feud with Chris Jericho that saw the former WWE Champion claim AEW’s belt. Moxley reminisced on that segment in an interview with TalkSport and discussed how it would’ve been different in WWE.

“I’m super proud of the whole Chris Jericho story from beginning to end,” Moxley said. “It was an eight-week piece of work over two months … What was really cool about it was it had that big fight feel going in. When I was doing media going into it, I could tell that people didn’t know which way it was going to go. It was a 50-50 pick ’em because Jericho is such a great champion. It was perfectly built in eight weeks … and that’s so rare in recent years.”

Moxley goes on to talk about how they came up with the Inner Circle tease together and that Jericho came up with him putting the shirt on. He says that if it was in WWE, they would’ve had to memorize a ton of lines and had to do rehearsals. Instead, they were able to do it with minimal planning because they’re professionals.
