Jeff Hardy Defeats Cesaro At Money In The Bank Kickoff

At the WWE Money In The Bank Kickoff Show, Jeff Hardy took on Cesaro. Hardy’s return to WWE Friday Night SmackDown has frustrated Sheamus, so it’s fitting that Hardy faced the Celtic Warrior’s former partner. Both men were evenly matched early on, but Cesaro took control when he slammed Hardy into the barricade. He grounded Hardy and neutralized his high-flying offense. Cesaro continued to overpower Hardy, but the fan favorite star rallied with a flurry of offense. Hardy knocked Cesaro off the top rope and hit Whisper in the Wind for a two count.

Hardy nearly earned the win when he hit a Twist of Fate for a two count. Cesaro hit a gutwrench suplex off the top rope for a near fall. Hardy countered the Neutralizer but Cesaro hit a vicious clothesline. In the end, Hardy put Cesaro with a Swanton Bomb.
