AEW’s Jake Roberts was far from impressed the first time he saw Orange Cassidy but the reigning International Champion has won the Snakeman over.
On a recent edition of his “Snake Pit” podcast, Roberts recalled first seeing Cassidy when he arrived in AEW in 2019 and how his perception has changed. He said,
“When I first saw him, I laughed at it, you know? But then after watching him go out and perform three or four shows, I realized ‘this kid knows what he’s doing.’
“He’s making it work! He really makes it work, and he works his tail off. If you’ve got me on your side, you know you’re doing something right.”
Cassidy is a two-time AEW International Champion, the current holder of the gold, and has held the title longer than anybody else in AEW.
