Jacob Fatu made his entrance within the WWE Smackdown universe recently as part of The Bloodline squad. Despite having been a WWE signee for a number of months, most notably marked by his backstage attendance at the grand WrestleMania 40 and throughout the entire WrestleMania weekend.
Before his signing, Fatu hadn’t engaged in wrestling fights outside of the US. Insider knowledge from Major League Wrestling (MLW) suggested that his past criminal record, a chapter now closed, may have been a reason. There were lingering uncertainties about whether this history would pose challenges moving forward, especially when it comes to WWE’s international affairs, TV tapings and their scheduled summer and spring events.
Regardless of his past, it didn’t hinder WWE’s scenario to sign him. Quite the opposite – WWE’s new management was known to have been showing interest in Fatu for a long time.
According to Fightful Select reports, Fatu’s impact within the WWE community has been extraordinary. Displaying respect towards all individuals backstage, he has left a favorable impression.
Furthermore, the wrestler of Samoan descent will keep his ring name “Jacob Fatu,” as he advances in his career. This decision does more than just preserving his own personal identity – it stands as a tribute to his family’s wrestling history.
It’s worth mentioning that Fatu’s father, along with Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa’s fathers, joined forces in the wrestling rings during the 80s. Carrying on this legacy is something Jacob Fatu is proud of.
