TNA Wrestling and Ace Austin have shared an encouraging update regarding Chris Bey’s status. We previously mentioned that Bey encountered a major neck injury at the TNA Impact TV tapings that took place in Detroit, MI on a Sunday night.

Recently, Ace Austin provided an update through the official TNAWrestling.com site about his fellow wrestler and friend:

Ace Austin Gives Update on Chris Bey

According to Austin, Bey initiated his recovery from neck surgery on Sunday, 27th October. He is currently undergoing multiple daily therapy sessions in Detroit, directed by eminent specialists. Austin shared that Bey’s everyday adjustments elicit smiles from not just him, but also from the people around him.

Bey is fortunate to have a support system in place that consists of family members and close friends, as well as TNA Wrestling management and roster members. Austin has been a key part of this, being by Bey’s side since the unfortunate incident in the ring on Sunday night.

Reflecting on their partnership, Austin revealed that they decided to form a team upon his return from Japan in 2022, and their common passion and dedication for wrestling got them working smoothly right from the start. What started as friendship quickly turned into a professional partnership, and they now consider each other as brothers.

Bey’s first TNA match was an Xplosion game against Austin shortly after Austin was signed by TNA. While they started as rivals, their classic matches and time spent together as tag-team partners have resulted in immense mutual respect and has helped them to support each other, both on and off the ring.

Together, Austin and Bey make the dynamic team known as ABC. Their list of achievements includes winning the Ultimate X Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship against the Motor City Machine Guns at the 2023 Rebellion pay-per-view, being crowned as the Tag Team of the Year in 2023, appearing among the top ten tag teams of 2023 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranking, and securing three times TNA World Tag Champions.

Austin also revealed that they’ve traveled to several countries together and created lots of beautiful memories. He expressed his gratitude for the precious moments shared with Bey and pledged his continued support during the latter’s recovery journey.
