Here’s The Real Reason Homicide Is Retiring, Mercedes Mone To Billie Starkz – “F**k Them Kids!”

Former World Champion of Ring of Honor, Homicide, has declared his departure from in-ring activity due to an ongoing issue with a brain cyst, which is impairing his vision and speech. He is to participate in one final confrontation this evening at Brooklyn’s Outlaw Wrestling, NYC, where he will team up with Bull James to face Afa Jr. and Mike Santana. This match, brought forward by Victory Pro, was handpicked by Homicide himself.

At 47 years old, Homicide is a celebrated member of the original Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame, notable for his significant contribution in molding the wrestling landscape, specifically in the Northeast.

Homicide shared his sentiments on his Facebook page, writing,

“It’s hard to believe that I’m bidding farewell—not just to a profession, but to my burning passion, pro wrestling.

Bull James and myself are gearing up to face Mike Santana and “I Hate Everyone” Afa Jr.

I have made this decision after discovering from my doctor that I have a cyst in my brain.
Its presence has been for months and is now exacerbating.
Due to hard hits and getting knocked out, followed by immediate travel, have adversely affected my vision and speech.

March 20 at Outlaw Wrestling holds significant meaning for me.
I want everyone to celebrate and have joyous moments—except for Afa Jr.

I’ve always been a fighter, always triumphing in my challenges.
From the deepest place in my heart, I’m grateful for your support.

This is not a permanent farewell.
Just a see you later.

My goodbye is not forever.

Just a see you later in anticipation.

In this week’s AEW Dynamite episode, Mercedes Mone valiantly kept her AEW TBS Championship title against a tough competitor, Billie Starkz.

Post winning the match, Mone uploaded a picture from the event on Twitter with the caption, “F*** them kids.”
