In his recent sit-down with “MuscleManMalcolm”, former WWE star Heath Slater shared his yearning for WWE to bring back the Nexus group.
The Nexus was a leading faction that prominently featured Slater alongside distinguished wrestlers such as Wade Barrett, Michael Tarver, Skip Sheffield (now known as Ryback), Justin Gabriel, Darren Young (currently Fred Rosser), and David Otunga.
Affectionately reminiscing about his journey with Nexus, Slater emphasised, “That was my commencement. Sure, we initiated on NXT. We laid the groundwork for what NXT looks like today. It was something unheard of when you’re targeting the top dogs directly. It was genuinely a thrill observable in the world of wrestling. It was that surprise moment of, ‘Wow, what’s going on?’ The method we employed, encircling, asserting dominance, dismantling everything in sight, had never been seen before. What astonishes me about Nexus is that despite our short stint of about eight to nine months, its impression still resonates 14 years later. WWE, Hunter, just ponder over it. We have arrived at manhood from boyhood. Picture our comeback.”
