Professional AEW wrestler, The Blade, is showing signs of progress in his rehabilitation journey after suffering a severe back injury, which has kept him away from the ring since February of this year.
During a virtual autograph session held by RDP Promotions, his partner and fellow wrestler, Allie (known in the ring as The Bunny) provided an update on The Blade’s condition following his back fusion surgery that took place in September. She quoted:
“He’s coping well. He just commenced his Physical Therapy. His back surgery turned out quite well. I’m genuinely proud of him. He’s currently investing a lot of time into stand-up comedy right now and concentrating mainly on regaining his health.”
Interestingly, Allie herself has been absent from in-ring action since a September 2023 episode of AEW Rampage and has since parted ways with the wrestling organisation.
In a conversation related to her own future career in wrestling, Allie imbued her fans with hope, suggesting the possibility of her return to the ring. She voiced:
“I frequently remind individuals who question if I’ll ever make a comeback to wrestling. I always say – ‘Never say never!'”
The Blade, who made his injury public in April, last appeared in a wrestling match for AEW/ROH in January, where he partnered with The Butcher in a match against Top Flight on an episode of ROH TV on HonorClub.
