Günter Zapf, AEW’s German Announcer, Dies at 67

All Elite Wrestling has recently conveyed their distress on Twitter about the demise of Günter Zapf, a respected German commentator part of their team. The organization expressed,

“Regrettably, All Elite Wrestling grieves over the loss of Günter Zapf. A cherished component of the AEW Germany’s commentary panel for many years, his absence will be profoundly felt.”

Zapf, previously known for his role as a cornerback for the Munich Cowboys, was 67 at the time of passing. Unforgettable for his contributions to WWE from 2002 until 2013, Zapf also lent his voice for commentary in Lucha Underground.
