Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, also known as wrestling champion “Kane,” has just another two years to go in his term. He reveals that he is contemplating his future actions.
In an engaging discussion with the Washington Examiner, Jacobs, the current mayor, was asked about a potential run for Tennessee Governor. He responded,
“Indeed, [I am thinking about] running for Governor. I only have two years left in my current term, after which I will be limited by terms, so I’m weighing all my options, which includes stopping or continuing my political journey.”
Jacobs has been serving as mayor of Knox County in Tennessee since his election in 2018.
Ex-NFL champ Shawne Merriman was recently seen at the TNA Rebellion pay-per-view event. He also featured on the “Mike & JD Show,” talking about his potential wrestling match future.
Take a look at a few highlight moments from the podcast below:
Regarding a future match: “I believe it’s a possibility. I have a strong bond with the people there, and they do a remarkable job.”
On the possibility of squaring off against Moose: “I’m interested. I think that audiences would really enjoy it; we’d definitely put up a stellar show. You never know, crazier things have happened. I haven’t ruled it out, nor have I ruled out working with them in the near future.”
