WWE’s Asuka, fondly known as the Empress of Tomorrow, took a break from the ring after her last battle at WWE Backlash: France on May 4, 2024. During the faceoff, she, alongside her fierce teammate Kairi Sane, the Kabuki Warriors, forfeited the coveted Women’s Tag Team Championship to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Asuka was preparing to undergo a knee surgery, necessitating her exit from the wrestling battleground for a while. The surgical intervention took place about two weeks ago.

Relievingly, Asuka’s fans and well-wishers are witnessing an inspiring tale of resilience and quick recovery. Through a recent update on her personal YouTube channel, Asuka shared snippets of her ongoing rehabilitation and the fitness regimen she has been maintaining during her recuperation.

As is typical after such surgical procedures, Asuka is predicted to be out of action for a few more months. Bearing in mind the injury she suffered leading up to her surgery, it’s imperative for Asuka to prioritize health and recovery, instead of hurrying back to the wrestling world and risking exacerbation of the injury.

With all indicators pointing to a rapid recovery, fans are increasingly optimistic that it might not be long before they get to cheer Asuka on, witnessing her electrifying presence in the ring and her valuable contribution to Damage CTRL’s resurgence.
