In a hard-fought match, Balor took everything Zayn threw at him and dodged a Helluva Kick attempt from Zayn. He then took control with double foot stomps and two shotgun dropkicks. In the end, Balor clinched the win with the Coup de Grâce.

With the victory, Balor seems ready to return to prominence on the blue brand following his successful return to NXT; during his time back on the black-and-gold brand, he won the NXT Championship and held it for several months. Now, he’s shifting his focus to the WWE Universal Championship, and this win began his quest on a strong note.
