Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter spoke to Stadium about a few topics, including his plans for life after basketball. This is a wrestling website, so it shouldn’t surprise you that he claims to have a standing offer from WWE to join the organization after his court days are behind him. He also seems very excited to accept it.
I’m definitely becoming a WWE wrestler. I’ve actually already had offers from WWE, but hey, I gotta finish my basketball career first.
Celtics center @EnesKanter told our NBA Insider @ShamsCharania he has been offered WWE deal and plans to accept after career.
Kanter also discussed his public approach with his native Turkey, Russell Westbrook's policy for opponents and more. pic.twitter.com/gOvZhfYGae

This communication between WWE and Enes possibly comes from his brief stint as the WWE 24/7 Champion back in September. He’s also been involved in other wrestling-adjacent productions and expressed interest in having Paul Heyman as a manager. As stated in the video below, Kanter got a huge reception when he appeared on WWE TV for his title win, and his size makes him just what certain higher-ups look for in a crossover star.
Will basketball be the next MMA in terms of WWE’s expanded search for superstars? Only time will tell.
