Drew McIntyre is a different competitor with a fresh perspective. The future WrestleMania main eventer is quite the close friend of WWE’s The Bump and the 2020 Royal Rumble winner received his own special countdown when appearing on episode 16 this morning. During his time on the show, Drew was asked about looking ahead to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania and took a alternative perspective when it comes to his part-time work and contract. Drew actually has a separate issue with The Beast:
“There’s nobody like him. This is one of the things that people get annoyed with him about like, ‘Ah, Brock’s never here annoys me,’ or whatever and I have a different view and I say, ‘Brock was offered his contract to do what he wants. He wasn’t forced to sign it. He signed a contract and he’s living up to his terms of the contract.’ I can’t get annoyed about that, I understand why people get annoyed about it. The problem I have is he has our title and I’ve been on the TV, all the live events and we need that title on there.”

Drew continues on, knowing that that he is different than many competitors that Lesnar has gone up against. His 19 years in and out of the WWE has built a strong foundation for him to build on his “Road to WrestleMania.”
“Someone has to take him down and Brock can be gone 99% of the time and he can beat 99% percent of the guys and when he comes back without even trying, but now, I knew when I looked in his eyes when he was lying on that floor, he looked at me and said, ‘This guy’s different.’ I can see it in his eyes. I’m just as big, I’m just as fast, but I’ve got the experience. I’ve been around a long time and I see areas in his game I would capitalize on and the guys he’s faced. I’m going to use that experience, that size, power and he better get in training before Mania because I’ve been training every single week for 19 years for this moment.”
