On a recent edition of Konnan’s “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, Dominik Mysterio discussed WWE’s plans for him at WrestleMania 40, why he returned to the WWE Performance Center after turning on his father Rey Mysterio at Clash At The Castle 2022, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On his WrestleMania 40 plans: “I have no idea what I’m doing at [WrestleMania]. I don’t really get a heads-up on anything when it comes to creatives and stuff, unless I go and ask. … Tell me what to do and I’ll do my best to go out there and make it look as [good] as possible to the best of my abilities.”

On his current role in the company: “I’m happy. I’m f***ing having a blast doing it, especially with the crew that I’m doing it with. I’ve become actual friends with everybody there.”

On returning to the Performance Center after turning on Rey Mysterio: “The key for me was just consistency. I’ve never really been consistent with anything, and even still, to this day, I struggle with consistency. It got to a point where, after I turned on my dad, I they asked me if I was okay going to Orlando and doing the whole process of the PC because I had skipped that whole process for about two years. Me, being a team player, I was like, ‘Yup, whatever you guys need.’ Being there in Orlando helped me be more consistent because I had nothing to do in Orlando other than workout or go to the PC. I would go work out at the PC, then I would go workout with Austin Theory, and that’s who I first turned to on the road, staying consistent in the gym on the road with him, eating right. Even now, traveling with Finn, Damian, Rhea, and JD. I can’t tell you the last time we didn’t send a group text ‘Gym’ right before TV. Every time we’re on the road, we’re always at the gym. It’s something they’ve helped me with, being on the road and staying consistent.”

Dominik fought Rey Mysterio in a losing effort at WrestleMania 39.

Dominik Mysterio Opens Up About WrestleMania 40 Plans and His Journey in WWE

In a recent episode of Konnan’s “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, Dominik Mysterio, the son of legendary wrestler Rey Mysterio, shared some insights into his upcoming plans for WrestleMania 40 and his experience in the WWE Performance Center. Dominik’s return to the Performance Center after turning on his father at Clash At The Castle 2022 has played a crucial role in his development as a professional wrestler.

When asked about his WrestleMania 40 plans, Dominik admitted that he has no idea what he will be doing at the event. He explained that he doesn’t receive prior information about creative decisions unless he specifically asks for it. However, he expressed his willingness to give his best and deliver an outstanding performance, regardless of the role he is assigned.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his WrestleMania plans, Dominik expressed his happiness and enthusiasm for his current role in the company. He revealed that he is thoroughly enjoying his time in WWE and has developed genuine friendships with his fellow wrestlers. This camaraderie has contributed to his overall satisfaction and motivation to excel in the ring.

One significant turning point in Dominik’s journey was his decision to return to the WWE Performance Center after turning on his father. He emphasized the importance of consistency in his career, admitting that it had been a struggle for him in the past. By going back to the Performance Center and immersing himself in the training process, Dominik found a way to overcome this challenge.

Being in Orlando and having no distractions allowed him to focus solely on his training and development. He formed a routine of working out at the Performance Center and training with fellow wrestler Austin Theory. This dedication to consistency extended to his time on the road as well, where he continued to prioritize fitness and healthy eating habits alongside wrestlers like Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and JD.

Dominik’s commitment to consistency has paid off, as he has seen significant progress in his wrestling skills and overall performance. His dedication to staying in shape and maintaining a rigorous training regimen has become a shared goal among his group of friends on the road.
