Cody Rhodes Successfully Defends AEW TNT Championship, Next Challenger Set

Cody Rhodes made the first-ever defense of the All Elite Wrestling TNT Championship tonight on AEW Dynamite.

Challenging Rhodes for the belt was Jungle Boy, who won a battle royal to earn the title shot. “Jungle” Jack Perry was game during the biggest match of his young career and got an opportunity after Rhodes was opened up and lost a solid amount of blood. The veteran’s experience advantage showed though and he walked away with the title. The match ended after Cody hit Cross Rhodes for the win.
Rhodes will put the belt on the line against Private Party member Marq Quen next week.
