“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes maintains his resounding presence with his 250-day reign as the unchallenged WWE Universal Champion.
The championship belt was awarded to Rhodes at the climactic WrestleMania 40(Night Two) event, where he brought to an end the remarkable reign of Roman Reigns that had spanned over 1,316 days from 2020.
As the title bearer of the combined WWE and Universal Championships, Rhodes secures his position as the third longest-reigning Universal Champion, with only Reigns and Brock Lesnar holding the title longer.
During his champion reign, Rhodes has successfully defended against fierce competitors like Solo Sikoa, AJ Styles, Logan Paul, and Kevin Owens.
In the forthcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Uniondale, New York, Owens is set to challenge Rhodes.
