AEW dropped a video titled “The Road To Sears Centre” which focuses on the significance of the Windy City to the growth of All Elite Wrestling, but the primary subject is Cody Rhodes’ return to AEW Dynamite this week after he was attacked by his former friend in MJF. A few weeks ago MJF, who also had the debuting Wardlow at his side, strung Cody up with Wardlow’s Burberry tie in an attempted display of supremacy over “The American Nightmare.”

Cody revealed this week on Instagram that he’d be suiting up for in-ring action this week as he’ll have his first match on Dynamite since the show debuted back at the beginning of October in Washington DC.

“The Road To Sears Centre” shares how fans view Chicago, IL as the spiritual home of AEW, but the big question was to how Cody felt about his former friend. Cody talks about how MJF was a heel, but he was “his heel” and he handpicked him when nobody else wanted him, so the relationship that the two had was very real. In addition to wrestling, Cody anticipates talking about the matter further on this week’s Dynamite. You can see Cody comment on the matter below:
