There won’t be any ‘big-time’ stories for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes until The Rock and Roman Reigns are back, it has been reported.
Rhodes ended Reigns’ 1,316-day reign as champion at WWE WrestleMania 40 (Night Two) and was confronted by The Rock on the post-WrestleMania edition of RAW.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is reported that Rhodes has no “big-time direction” until The Rock and Reigns are back on TV.
The report did bring up the possibility of a feud between Rhodes and his Legacy mentor Randy Orton but noted that a feud between the two has not been teased.
Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against AJ Styles at the upcoming WWE Backlash: France pay-per-view event, the first event of its kind in the country.
