Could Dustin Rhodes bring his decades of experience in wrestling to the role as AEW’s booker? WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray isn’t against the idea.

On a recent edition of the “Wise Choices” podcast, Bully Ray made it clear that he’s not saying Khan should step down but put forward Rhodes as a successor. He said,

“I’m not suggesting that anybody be the booker instead of Tony Khan. What I’m suggesting is Tony Khan be more open-minded to the veterans and the creative minds that are around him, and been there, and done that.

“If there was a gun to my head and I had to hand Tony’s pencil to another person, I would hand it to somebody who had experience as a booker, or somebody who had sat under the learning tree of a booker. I.E. Dustin Rhodes.”

Rhodes’ father Dusty spent years of his career as a booker with his trope of a face winning a title match but the heel keeping the gold becoming known as the ‘Dusty Finish.’

Khan has said in the past that he has no intentions of stepping away from his role as AEW’s booker but is aware that he cannot maintain his current schedule forever.
