CM Punk is no stranger to offering up his opinion on what he thinks WWE could be doing better. His latest message seemed directed to the many superstars of NXT, who should feel embarrassed that someone like Pat McAfee is a better promo than “everyone” on the show. However, Punk notes that there are circumstances holding back the promos of superstars.
A lot of it has to do with circumstance, but everyone else on the show(s) should feel embarrassment, and subsequently USE said feeling to better themselves, at the fact that @PatMcAfeeShow is a better promo than everyone on the show(s).

Punk said that the superstars on the shows should use their embarrassment as fuel to be better, and then clarified his stance in a few replies to fans. When asked if he thinks Pat McAfee has a future in the wrestling business, Punk said that there’s no need for McAfee to even think about that, as McAfee is already the best thing on NXT that isn’t Rhea Ripley. Punk took a thinly veiled shot at the behind-the-scenes aspect of WWE, when a fan suggested that McAfee was only so good with his promos because he hadn’t been “brainwashed” into what to say and how to say it. Punk seemed to confirm this, noting that it was the “circumstances” that superstars found themselves in that may be holding them back.
Not always. Need stuff to watch while I’m doing treadmill work.

Whatever the case, it’ll be interesting to see what, if any, backlash this brings from the NXT superstars. With NXT TakeOver: WarGames right around the corner, and McAfee seemingly involved with the business for the foreseeable future, superstars have some time to try and outdo the former NFL star on the mic and in the ring.
