Throughout 2020, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and other wrestling bodies were forced to hold events with no live audiences in response to the precautions instituted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Five years after the globe underwent a ‘lockdown,’ Chelsea Green expressed her gratitude on Twitter for WWE permitting her to continue performing despite the unusual circumstances.

In a post on Twitter from Chelsea Green she remarked, “The pandemic was such an interesting time for wrestling. I’m grateful we were able to still put on a weekly show that gave viewers a few hours of distraction from the world.”

During these pandemic times, Green made a transition from NXT to RAW. However, unexpected changes arose when Paul Heyman was removed from his position as Executive Director, causing her planned trajectory to be discarded.

Thereafter, Green shifted to SmackDown but, unfortunately, she sustained a broken wrist in her debut match on this new platform.

In April 2021, Green parted ways with WWE. She made her comeback to WWE at the beginning of 2023 and is currently holding the title of Women’s United States Champion.
