This was after Kofi Kingston and the rest of the New Day defeated Randy Orton and The Revival in a six-man tag match. Kofi sent his friends away and faced Lesnar one-on-one. Heyman explained that Lesnar was standing in the way of Kingston’s title reign having longevity and that his client is challenging Kingston to a match for the WWE Championship on Oct. 4. This is, of course, the first episode of SmackDown on FOX.

Kingston wasn’t about to deny a challenge and he accepted to take on “The Beast.” After he accepted, Lesnar picked up Kingston and delivered a great F-5 before holding the belt briefly and tossing it aside.
