Braun Strowman Tricks Bray Wyatt, Retains Universal Championship

At WWE Money In The Bank, Braun Strowman defended the WWE Universal Championship against Bray Wyatt. Strowman shoved Wyatt into the corner, and Wyatt said, “Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.” The champion continued to overpower Wyatt and took him down with a shoulder tackle. Strowman sent Wyatt head-first into the ring post. Wyatt dodged a charging Strowman, which sent him crashing to the floor. Huskus The Pig Boy popped up at ringside, and Wyatt capitalized on the distraction by hitting a DDT onto the floor. Wyatt got a two count with a clothesline. Wyatt continued to control the match.

Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on Strowman for a two count. Strowman countered a second Sister Abigail and dropped Wyatt with a Chokeslam. The champion rallied and threw Wyatt to the outside. Strowman trucked over Wyatt and sent him crashing into the barricade. Strowman put on the black sheep mask from his days in the Wyatt Family. Wyatt fell to his knees, happy that he broke through to Strowman. The champion fell to his knees, and Wyatt stood up. Strowman got to his feet and the two men hugged. Wyatt’s puppets celebrated the moment, but Strowman pulled the mask off. He dropped it to the floor and stomped on it. Strowman slammed Wyatt for the win to retain the WWE Universal Championship.
