WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has a word of advice for the numerous wrestlers who have been released from the company recently.

As someone who left WWE in 2008 and returned 10 years later, “The All Mighty” certainly spoke from experience when, in an interview with Rick Ucchino of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Lashley shared his view that it’s important to stay motivated when one faces a setback like getting let go.

“Stay motivated, man,” said Lashley. “And I told some of the people this before I even came back, and there was a couple guys that contacted me that were in WWE when I was out. And they asked, ‘What’s going on, man,’ and, ‘Do you any advice for me?’ And I always told them, if you’re good, your talent can’t be denied. That’s one. And then two, never burn bridges.”

Lashley then criticized wrestlers who insulting a company after they leave it because he noted that stars who depart WWE and enjoy success elsewhere owe their name value to the promotion. He stated that it’s important to focus on the good and build yourself up rather tean tearing something else down.

“I think a lot of times, people will leave the wrestling business or leave one organization and feel the need to bad-mouth them, [and] I think that’s just ridiculous,” said Lashley. “I think every one of us kind of made our name from the WWE or from professional wrestling in one sense or another, and made a lot of money…. I always have respect for the wrestling business across the board.

“Everybody needs to eat, everybody needs to feed their kids and everybody wants to have a good show. And instead of trying to put somebody else down, you gotta just look at your own field and promote what you have instead of hating what you don’t like.”
