New Japan Pro Wrestling previously announced a cage match between The United Empire and The Bullet Club for ‘The New Beginning’ in Osaka event scheduled for February 11.

NJPW has now confirmed the rules for the upcoming cage match, which is essentially the same as WWE’s WarGames.

You can check out the official announcement below:

“Steel cage match rules official for Osaka

David Finlay’s choice of rules set for New Beginning

When Will Ospreay challenged David Finlay to settle the score between War Dogs and United Empire February 11 in Osaka, Finlay was quick to demand a steel cage for this blood feud between the two teams and for Ospreay’s final outing as part of the NJPW roster. What Finlay didn’t present at the time was the exact rules of the cage bout, which are now official after backstage comments from the IWGP Global Champion this week in Korakuen Hall.

In a format similiar to team cage matches overseas, the match will begin as a singles contest, with a new member added to the match every two minutes. Finlay has declared that the War Dogs will have the advantage, his wrestlers making their entrance first and alternating until all ten men are in the match. From that point on, a pinfall or submission will decide the bout.

Finlay has requested that Ospreay start opposite him in Osaka, but time will tell; after Ospreay has been absent from action since January, War Dogs have gained a significant physoical and mental advantage, and although Jeff Cobb, HENARE and Francesco Akira will all be part of the lineup as planned, the damage done to all three in recent weeks will see the War Dogs at a distinct advantage Sunday. Who will survive the steel cage?”

Major League Wrestling has announced that former WWE and AEW wrestler Bobby Fish has joined the company and will be making his return on February 29 in New York City at Intimidation Games.

New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) has recently announced a highly anticipated cage match between The United Empire and The Bullet Club for their upcoming event, ‘The New Beginning’ in Osaka, scheduled for February 11. In a recent update, NJPW has confirmed the rules for this intense cage match, which are similar to WWE’s famous WarGames match.

The official announcement states that David Finlay, a member of the War Dogs team, demanded a steel cage for this blood feud between the two teams and as Will Ospreay’s final outing as part of the NJPW roster. The exact rules of the cage match were not initially presented by Finlay, but they have now been revealed after backstage comments from the IWGP Global Champion.

The match will begin as a singles contest, with a new member added to the match every two minutes. Finlay has declared that the War Dogs will have the advantage, with their wrestlers making their entrance first and alternating until all ten men are in the match. Once all participants are inside the cage, a pinfall or submission will decide the outcome.

Finlay has requested that Ospreay start opposite him in Osaka, but it remains to be seen if that will happen. Ospreay has been absent from action since January, giving the War Dogs a significant physical and mental advantage. Despite Jeff Cobb, HENARE, and Francesco Akira being part of the lineup as planned, the damage done to all three in recent weeks will put the War Dogs at a distinct advantage on Sunday.
