Big E has expressed his disappointment that he never had the chance to step into the ring with Billy ‘Goldberg’ Goldberg during their overlapping wrestling careers, three years following Big E’s most recent match.
In an interview with IGN to drum up excitement for the upcoming WWE 2K25 game, Big E was queried about any missed opportunities to face off against fellow wrestlers. He responded,
“Goldberg, undoubtedly. Our paths have crossed, but wrestling my childhood hero would have taken things full circle in a strangely wonderful way. I had the pleasure of meeting him at an autograph event back in the late 90s when I was just a kid. So, an opportunity to wrestle Goldberg would have been immensely cool.”
There’s news that Goldberg will have one last competition this year, but his opponent has yet to be officially disclosed by the WWE Hall of Famer.
Due to a neck ailment, Big E has not participated in a WWE match since 2022. Despite this, he has maintained his presence in WWE by hosting multiple media events.
On an episode of The New Day’s popular podcast “Feel the Power”, Big E humorously disclosed that his dream wrestling match would be against none other than Goldberg. The specific episode can be found in the video below.
