Fightful Select reveals that Lynch has entered the free agency pool as the clock hit midnight. This shift marks her first venture into free agency in over a decade. Prior to her existing contract expiry, Becky, or ‘The Man’ as her fans lovingly call her, did not put pen to paper for a fresh WWE contract. In 2021, she had extended her bond with WWE for three more years.
Upon her title loss to Liv Morgan in the WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024, insider information unraveled a previously laid-out plan by WWE. The federation had been cognizant of Becky’s intention to take a breather. To avoid a flat forfeiture of the title, WWE strategized for Becky to clinch the title and then surrender it to Morgan. This tactic was aimed at maximizing the effect of both Morgan’s victory and Becky’s defeat.
