Asuka says that story about her WWE status is not true and “nothing has been revealed.”
Asuka posted the following statement on social media in response to a recent report about why she’s been missing from WWE TV:
Nothing has been revealed.
That information is totally wrong.
Really different. Completely different. Everything is different.
I would like to ask the information provider. Don’t make a fake story.
Asuka originally responded to a now-deleted tweet that claimed a recent report “revealed that she’s fine” and that her absence was due to a lack of creative plans. The source of that original report was the August 23 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, claiming the former RAW Women’s Champion is fine and she’s just not being used right now.
“For those asking about Asuka, she is fine,” F4W’s Dave Meltzer wrote. “She’s just not being used for anything right now. She was at the Raw tapings early but left early since she wasn’t being used.”
It’s worth noting that Asuka did not clarify why the information is wrong, but later wrote that “the informant of my news has never met or spoken to me or is a liar.”
Asuka has not been seen on WWE TV since competing in the Money In The Bank ladder match at the titular pay-per-view event on July 18.
