“I feel that if you had a younger talent to do that, yes, to make Sting great. But Sting has to get into a feud with somebody, real quick.

“In a perfect world, the final match for Sting is Ric Flair, but that’s not happening.

“I’d love to see him have one last singles match, I do feel he could have one great last singles match. But then I would have to say, who would it be? When you’re saying goodbye in the fashion that Sting is saying goodbye, surely you’d want to have one last singles match?”

Sting’s final match will take place at AEW Revolution in March of this year. Sting made his wrestling debut for AEW at the Revolution pay-per-view event in 2021.

Sting, one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling history, is set to have his final match at AEW Revolution in March of this year. The news has sparked a lot of excitement among fans, but there are some who believe that Sting’s career should end in a singles bout.

Tommy Dreamer, a veteran wrestler and commentator, recently shared his thoughts on the matter during an episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast. Dreamer expressed his pleasure that Sting will be facing some young stars in his final match, as it will help elevate their careers. However, he also believes that Sting should have a singles feud before calling it quits.

Dreamer stated, “I feel that if you had a younger talent to do that, yes, to make Sting great. But Sting has to get into a feud with somebody, real quick. In a perfect world, the final match for Sting is Ric Flair, but that’s not happening.”

Dreamer’s sentiment is understandable. Sting is a legend in the wrestling industry, and it would be fitting for him to have one last memorable singles match before retiring. The question then becomes, who would be the ideal opponent for Sting in this scenario?

Dreamer pondered this question as well, saying, “I’d love to see him have one last singles match, I do feel he could have one great last singles match. But then I would have to say, who would it be? When you’re saying goodbye in the fashion that Sting is saying goodbye, surely you’d want to have one last singles match?”

While the perfect opponent may not be immediately apparent, there are certainly several potential candidates within AEW’s roster who could deliver a memorable match with Sting. The company has a talented roster of young and experienced wrestlers who could provide a fitting end to Sting’s storied career.

Sting made his debut for AEW at the Revolution pay-per-view event in 2021, and since then, he has been involved in various storylines and matches. His presence has added a sense of nostalgia and excitement to the promotion, and fans have eagerly awaited his final match.

As we approach AEW Revolution, the anticipation for Sting’s last match continues to build. Whether it is a tag team match or a singles bout, there is no doubt that Sting will leave a lasting impact on the wrestling world with his final performance.
