It was announced yesterday that WWE WrestleMania 41 would be taking place in Las Vegas despite Minneapolis being a strong contender for the event.

As we previously reported here on eWn, Minnesota submitted a compelling bid and actively lobbied to host the event.

Wendy Blackshaw, President and CEO of Minnesota Sports and Events, stated that WWE officials informed them of the decision not to host WrestleMania in Minnesota in 2025 due to a change in direction by new ownership.

However, Blackshaw remains optimistic that Minnesota will host future WWE events and is actively engaged in discussions with the company, keeping the state’s wrestling fans updated on the progress.

Blackshaw said, “We were informed by WWE that Minnesota would not host WrestleMania in 2025 due to a change in direction by new ownership. Although disappointed, we are in discussions with WWE about future events in Minnesota. We are optimistic that Minnesota will host WWE events here in the future.”

While earlier reports suggested that Minneapolis may have a chance to host WrestleMania 42 in 2026, an official confirmation has yet to be made.

WWE WrestleMania 41 will take place on April 19 and 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
