On a recent episode of “The ARN Show”, the host, Arn Anderson, discussed a variety of topics, including the downfall of Vader before he joined WWE and the induction of Lex Luger into the 2025 class of WWE Hall of Fame. In order to gain more insight into the conversation, highlights from the podcast are provided below.
Discussing Lex Luger’s entry into the WWE Hall of Fame, Anderson exclaimed, “It’s about time. Truly, if you consider his contributions to the industry, and the physical form he maintained throughout his career. The guy arguably has as good a body as anybody in the industry, wouldn’t you agree? I’d perhaps say so. And Lex, he emerged at a time when the industry was absolutely blazing. He found his place, took his press to heart, you know? And he persisted, carving out a Hall of Fame career for himself. I’m ecstatic for him. Congratulations. It’s fantastic.”
In response to Bruce Prichard’s claim that Vader had lost his edge by the time he arrived at WWE, Anderson noted, “Well, indeed, and folks — you know, he wasn’t going to simply dominate the ring and remain unchecked as he frequently did at WCW. There, he had quite a bit of control over his own destiny. Circumstances were different. You know, had he tried to overpower Shawn Michaels, goodness me. They’d have dragged him out back of the building, set him alight, regardless of how large, strong, or credible he was. It was a completely different firm that conducted their business in an entirely different manner.”
