On Pretty Empowered making their mark in the NWA: “I feel like it’s a payoff, but I feel like this is for all of Pretty Empowered. It’s like, to be showcased on a forefront like NWA in this new era, which we like to [call] the Pretty Era, we are on the forefront of that. Whenever you think of the new era, you think obviously of EC3, but if you’re not thinking of Pretty Empowered, if you’re not thinking of Kenzie Paige, Kylie Paige, Ella Envy, are you really thinking about the National Wrestling Alliance? In this day and age, I feel like Pretty Empowered has brought something new to the NWA. We’ve brought this young, fresh, new vibe. I feel like people either love it or hate it. Either way, it’s working.”

On her spot in the company: “Being on the forefront, but since I was 14, this is what I’ve wanted. It gives and it takes. I’m ready for whatever it wants to take because I’m just gonna keep giving back. I’m ready to be the best champion. Having Kamille, with her long, dominant reign, she is an amazing champion. She was longest-reigning champion. She has her history behind her, and I have my history behind me. I’m walking in, first Triple Crown Champion, youngest NWA World Women’s Champion. She’s a lot to live up to, but I’m gonna make sure that I’m gonna be a lot to live up to as well.”

The Rise of Pretty Empowered in the NWA

The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) has been home to many iconic factions and groups throughout its history. One of the newest factions to make their mark in the NWA is Pretty Empowered, led by NWA Women’s World Champion Kenzie Paige. In a recent episode of “The Ten Count” podcast, Paige discussed the rise of Pretty Empowered and their impact on the NWA.

Pretty Empowered consists of Kenzie Paige, her sister Kylie Paige, and Ella Envy. The faction brings a fresh and youthful vibe to the NWA, which Paige believes is essential for the promotion’s new era. She stated, “Whenever you think of the new era, you think obviously of EC3, but if you’re not thinking of Pretty Empowered, if you’re not thinking of Kenzie Paige, Kylie Paige, Ella Envy, are you really thinking about the National Wrestling Alliance? In this day and age, I feel like Pretty Empowered has brought something new to the NWA. We’ve brought this young, fresh, new vibe. I feel like people either love it or hate it. Either way, it’s working.”

Paige also expressed her excitement about being at the forefront of the NWA and the opportunities it brings. She has been working towards this moment since she was 14 years old and is ready to give her all to be the best champion she can be. She acknowledged the legacy of previous champions like Kamille, who had a long and dominant reign, but she is determined to create her own legacy and be someone that future champions will look up to.

In addition to discussing Pretty Empowered, the podcast episode also featured a video interview with Kenzie Paige where she talked about her experiences in wrestling and her goals for the future. She shared stories about wrestling in unconventional venues, including a barn that played pornographic movies in the background. Despite the challenges she has faced, Paige remains focused on her passion for wrestling and her desire to make a name for herself in the industry.

In other NWA news, the promotion has announced the date and location for their first pay-per-view event of the new year, “Hard Times” 2024. The event will take place on March 2 at the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan, Alabama.
