AJ Styles, a well-known wrestling professional, recently expressed his comfort with Will Ospreay employing the ‘Styles Clash’ technique in an AEW Dynamite International Title match.
During the high-tension bout with MJF, Ospreay used Styles’ signature move on the ring apron, a move that Taz, the commentator, made special note of mentioning by name.
Taking to Twitter, Styles quickly dismissed any rumors or conjecture that he might take issue with the Aerial Assassin emulating his pro wrestling expertise.
“Why do you think it bothers me that someone else is doing my move? We all do it. It’s wrestling! I think if nothing else, it shows appreciation,” Styles wrote on his Twitter (@AJStylesOrg) on July 18, 2024.
Throughout their careers, Styles and Ospreay have gone head-to-head in a single match. The encounter took place during a Revolution Pro Wrestling event in London, England, in February 2015.
Styles emerged victorious from their 2015 encounter. A year later, he became a part of WWE, where he has been a key player ever since.
“Why do you think it bothers me that someone else is doing my move? We all do it. It’s wrestling! I think if nothing else, it shows appreciation,” reiterated Styles (@AJStylesOrg) on Twitter on July 18, 2024.
