Fightful Select is reporting that AEW had already planned for Sabre Jr. to face Danielson at AEW WrestleDream 2023 when The American Dragon made his return to television on the September 2nd edition of AEW Collision.

Danielson and Sabre Jr. were originally supposed to face each other at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 pay-per-view event, but the Blackpool Combat Club member was unable to compete due to an injury.
