On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday, it has been revealed by Daniel Garcia that he will be continuing his tenure at AEW.
Even though WWE had shown interest in his talent earlier this year, Garcia decided to forge ahead with his AEW journey by renewing his contract with Tony Khan’s organization.
Garcia remained off the radar post his engagement with MJF at All Out 2024, which led to this decision.
In his heartfelt monologue, Garcia admitted his choice of sticking with AEW might not have been the most effortless or widely accepted, but he desired to align himself where he could find supreme wrestling talent and redefine his own perception. Interestingly, Garcia, a former ROH Pure Champion, did not shy away from challenging every current titleholder in AEW.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW’s financial offer to Garcia surpassed WWE’s willingness to invest.
Their report emphasized, “The sentiment expressed by him on the show, as well as by Khan, highlighted the difficulty in making this decision. Some from WWE have confirmed that AEW’s deal was considerably higher, leading them to anticipate that he would accept it.”
