AEW Files Trademark For ‘AEW Games’ Name And Logo

Are we one step closer to finding out what All Elite Wrestling has planned for its debut in the video game space?

All Elite Wrestling filed for a new trademark on “AEW Games” and an accompanying logo on Friday, October 23, 2020. The intended uses for the trademark can be read below:

IC 09: Video game discs; Downloadable game software; Downloadable video game programs; Downloadable computer game software; Downloadable electronic game software; Downloadable interactive game software; Downloadable video game software; Recorded video game programs; Recorded video game software

IC 041: Providing a website featuring entertainment information in the field(s) of gaming and wrestling; Entertainment services, namely, providing online video games; Entertainment services, namely, providing temporary use of non-downloadable video games; Production of video and computer game software; Providing a website featuring non-downloadable game software; Providing online non-downloadable game software; Provision of information relating to electronic computer games provided via the Internet.

This is not the only trademark the promotion is filed related to video games thus far. On Wednesday, September 10, AEW filed for the trademarks “All Elite Wrestling: Elite General Manager” and “Elite GM.” Both trademarks were filed for the following intended uses:

IC 009. US 021 023 026 036 038. G & S: Downloadable game software; Downloadable computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones; Downloadable electronic game software for use on handheld computers and mobile gaming devices; Downloadable video game programs; Recorded video game software.

During a recent interview on the Wrestle Buddies podcast, Kenny Omega said that they are inching ever so closer to being able to actually talk about the upcoming game project.

“I can’t say too much more other than that I am working very closely, creatively with the team and every few weeks there are — they have very new, exciting things to show us and I believe we’re on the right track because we have a good team backing us with a lot of very good hands that are very capable and when I can announce more, I certainly will and I’m really excited to show the first little bit of footage that we have and again, it’s a little ways away.”
