In a recent conversation with Uproxx, the ex-TNT Champion Adam Copeland (also known as “Edge”) shared some thoughts on the upcoming AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen special, set to take place in his birthplace of Asheville, North Carolina.

He also took some time to discuss future narrative possibilities now that he’s medically cleared and ready for action.

Highpoints from this intriguing chat with Copeland can be found below:

When asked about the potential narratives in AEW, Copeland revealed, “I believe that story and antagonist, they work simultaneously. That’s still the most crucial aspect for me. That’s what I relish the most, sink my teeth into. It’s about crafting the narrative. How many months do we have at our disposal? Let’s identify some major points. How many additional characters can we integrate and dynamic elements, and hopefully at the end, we have several different characters emanating intriguing narratives moving forward. To me that’s really exciting and without watering it down or creating confusion, it’s about getting as many different characters involved as possible.”

On the topic of possible story arcs he might delve into in AEW, Copeland stated, “There are still some really engaging narratives waiting to be discovered that will probably consume a year and a half or two years, and then I think it’s going to be time. However, I can’t dwell on it excessively. I have to concentrate on each time I’m in the ring and remind myself, here I am. It’s imperative to stay in the present. If not, untoward things can occur, but also by being in the present, I manage to absorb everything, I get to enjoy it all instead of getting lost in the future.”
