Eddie Kingston hasn’t been phased by the strong words CM Punk had for AEW while appearing on Monday’s edition of “The MMA Hour” podcast.
On the show, Punk said that Tony Khan isn’t a real boss, that AEW isn’t a real company, and that The Elite had wanted him gone quickly after his 2021 debut.
On a recent edition of the “UnLikely” podcast, Kingston shared his thoughts about the comments made by Punk, whom he had issues with in AEW. He said,
“He don’t work for us, I don’t give a f*** here. He is honestly, he don’t work for us so I don’t care, that’s it. I’m not even mad. If it sounds like I’m mad this just the way I talk but no I don’t care I don’t.
“I know other people do but I really don’t give a f*** because he doesn’t work for AEW, that’s the way I look at it if he worked for AEW and did that then I might feel a certain way for a little bit and then I would just let it go and go well that’s Phil being Phil. Can’t control him that’s his thing, he ain’t me and I ain’t him so I don’t care what he does.”
CM Punk will be part of WWE WrestleMania 40 and will serve as a commentator for the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
Eddie Kingston Responds to CM Punk’s Comments About AEW
In the world of professional wrestling, rivalries and conflicts are not limited to the ring. The latest feud making headlines involves Eddie Kingston and CM Punk, two prominent figures in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Punk recently made some strong comments about AEW, but Kingston seems unfazed by the remarks.
During an appearance on “The MMA Hour” podcast, Punk expressed his opinions about AEW and its management. He stated that Tony Khan, the owner of AEW, is not a real boss and that the company itself is not a real company. Punk also claimed that The Elite, a popular faction in AEW, wanted him gone shortly after his debut in 2021.
These comments did not go unnoticed by Eddie Kingston, who has had his fair share of issues with CM Punk in AEW. However, Kingston seems to have a different perspective on the matter. In a recent episode of the “UnLikely” podcast, he addressed Punk’s remarks and shared his thoughts.
“He don’t work for us, I don’t give a f*** here,” Kingston said. “He is honestly, he don’t work for us so I don’t care, that’s it. I’m not even mad. If it sounds like I’m mad, this is just the way I talk, but no, I don’t care. I know other people do, but I really don’t give a f*** because he doesn’t work for AEW.”
Kingston’s response reflects his nonchalant attitude towards Punk’s comments. He emphasizes that since Punk is not employed by AEW, his opinions hold little significance to him. Kingston acknowledges that others may be affected by Punk’s words, but he personally does not let them bother him.
The rivalry between Eddie Kingston and CM Punk dates back to their time in AEW. While their issues have been well-documented, Kingston’s response to Punk’s recent comments shows that he is not letting the past affect him. He remains focused on his own journey in AEW and does not allow external opinions to sway him.
Meanwhile, CM Punk has made headlines for his return to WWE. He will be part of the commentary team for the highly anticipated World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40. Punk’s involvement in WWE has sparked speculation about his future in professional wrestling and whether he will continue to be associated with AEW.
As the wrestling world eagerly awaits the outcome of these ongoing feuds and rivalries, it is clear that Eddie Kingston is not letting CM Punk’s comments affect him. He remains steadfast in his commitment to AEW and is focused on his own journey within the company. Only time will tell how these rivalries will unfold and what impact they will have on the world of professional wrestling.
