If you don’t remember the match, you certainly remember her entrance, which featured an abundance of CG aliens. After her victory, Brandi Rhodes tried to recruit her for her Nightmare Collective, but she refused. Instead, Melanie Cruise, who happened to be in the crowd at ringside, pledged her loyalty to the group. Rhodes first confirmed Statlander’s signing in an interview with Bleacher Report last week and the company has officially made the announcement this afternoon.
Melanie has also recently signed with the company behind the scenes, so we may see Brandi send her new recruit out to face the women who scorned her sooner rather than later. In other AEW news, Big Swole’s signing from last week was also officially confirmed today, meaning that the company has brought in three new female talents in very short order.
