“Right now, I’m not worried about 2024. I’m focused on what’s happening right now inside me. I’m focusing on the sensations on being in a match so physical, how it feels in my body. It’s what makes me feel alive. I’m focusing on what disappointment feels like in my body, not in my mind, not when I ruminate, what is disappointment feel like in my body? I thought…this was the one! You know! One of the reasons I meditate is so I can feel everything and to get to the truth of things, right? The whole is deceiving themselves. We’re all deceiving ourselves, and I meditate so I don’t deceive myself. And I’ve always known deep down that I’m the best wrestler in the world, that people like Eddie Kingston can never beat me because I’m the best. But now here we are, and I’ve got less than a year left, and this entire time I’ve been in AEW, I’ve gone after championship after championship after championship, and I lose every time. So at one point am I deceiving myself about being the best wrestler in the world?”
