It’s been over three years since Matt Cardona’s WWE career came to an end, but the former U.S. Champion couldn’t be happier.
On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Cardona spoke about his post-WWE run and believes he’s never been happier or more successful than right now. He said,
“I’ve won more titles [outside WWE than in the company.] I’m also making more money and the most important part, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Creatively fulfilled.”
As more proof of his success outside of WWE, the former Superstar pointed out his recent #13 ranking in the PWI 500, higher than any ranking of his as Zack Ryder.
Cardona did make it clear that if WWE gave him a call, he would answer and listen to any offer made to return to the promotion.
The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion also made it clear that he’s grateful to WWE and said there would be no ‘Indy God’ without WWE making him Zack Ryder.
While Cardona is very happy with how things are going, his wife Chelsea Green was very upset on this week’s RAW as she and Piper Niven lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
