MJF Successfully Defends World Title Against Jay White at AEW Full Gear 2023

During Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view event, MJF defeated Jay White to retain the AEW World Championship in the main event of the show.

At one point it was set to be Adam Cole defending the AEW World Title on his friend’s behalf, but MJF returned to the arena and fought valiantly to retain his title.

The original match was changed when The Gunns injured MJF during the opening hour of Full Gear 2023, sending him to the hospital.

However, The Salt Of The Earth returned in an ambulance and wrestled Jay White with his injured leg.

MJF eventually out-cheated The Switchblade to retain the AEW World Title at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, CA.

As of today, MJF has held the AEW World Championship for one full year. He won the title from Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear 2022.
