Update: AEW Full Gear 2023 Reveals Surprising Absence of Signed Wrestler
– ADVERTISMENT –

At Saturday’s Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view event, a new talent will officially sign their contract with All Elite Wrestling.

AEW President took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that he’ll be signing “one of the world’s best wrestlers, a pro who is known + respected by virtually every AEW fan.” This has led to a ton of speculation on who it may be, with many thinking it could be Mercedes Mone, Sami Callihan, or Will Ospreay. For what it’s worth, Ospreay’s NJPW contract will be expiring early next year.

While Mercedes Mone made an appearance at the All In 2023 pay-per-view event, Fightful Select is reporting that multiple sources have confirmed that she’s not the one who will be signing a contract with the company on Saturday. Mone has been out of action with an injury since May.

While there are plans for AEW to work with Mone in the future, there’s no word on when that will take place.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is set to make a big signing at the upcoming Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view event. AEW President took to Twitter to announce that they will be signing “one of the world’s best wrestlers, a pro who is known + respected by virtually every AEW fan.” This announcement has sparked a lot of speculation among fans about who the new talent could be.

There are several names being thrown around as potential signings. One of the rumored names is Mercedes Mone, who made an appearance at the All In 2023 pay-per-view event. However, Fightful Select has reported that multiple sources have confirmed that Mone is not the one who will be signing with AEW on Saturday. Mone has been out of action due to an injury since May.

Other names being mentioned include Sami Callihan and Will Ospreay. Ospreay’s contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) is set to expire early next year, which has fueled speculation that he could be the one joining AEW. However, nothing has been confirmed yet, and fans will have to wait until Saturday’s event to find out for sure.

While there may be disappointment among some fans that Mone is not the signing, there are still plans for AEW to work with her in the future. It remains unclear when exactly that collaboration will take place, but it’s something for fans to look forward to.
